This one of a kind Moroccan sequin pillow is handmade in Morocco from wedding blanket ( Handira) , loomed from local cotton. Handiras or Wedding Blankets are traditionally woven by the Berber women in the Atlas Mountains and preciously made for a 'bride to be'.
Created with love and wisdom by her female relatives to ward off evil spirits, bestow fertility and good luck to the newlywed couple. Fabulous as cushions for your sitting room or bedroom, they add a glamorous boho touch to your interior decor.
These pillows are made with metal sequins and over the years rust can occur on them, but the vintage history and nature should be appreciated.
